The EC3 workforce has responded and reacted well, at
least initially, but there are potential dangers if the right
management styles and appropriate training of those
managers is not deployed properly. The coming months
will ultimately determine the employment landscape of the
London Insurance Market.
Many firms have and continue
to undergo a consultation with their staff over future, with
mixed feedback on attitudes towards “home working”
versus “returning to the office”. September will see the
return of some staff on a rota basis, subject to Government
regulations applicable at the time, but it remains to be
seen how firms create a sense of “belonging” and maintain
a corporate culture when staff are displaced. We live in
interesting and fast changing times.
