Behind the Scenes: Inside the 8th LMF Market People Awards 2025

With the 8th LMF Market People Awards 2025 just weeks away, the team at LMF is working hard to make sure the night is nothing short of spectacular. The event takes place on Thursday 26th June 2025 at the beautiful Plaisterers’ Hall, and while the evening will be full of celebration and fun, we wanted to share what’s going on behind the scenes to make it an evening to remember for the 22 worthy winners and all those part of the event.

It all started last November, when Roger Oldham, LMF’s Founder and CEO, and Will, our Market Relationships Manager, began searching for the perfect venue. Finding a place that fits this year’s Great Gatsby theme — full of 1920’s style and glamour — took time, but Plaisterers’ Hall was the perfect fit.

From February to April, the nomination window was open, and we were thrilled to receive more nominations than ever before. A huge thank you to everyone who took part and helped make this year’s Awards so special.

Meanwhile, Roger has been juggling everything from audio-visual setups, staging, and entertainment to table styling and decorations — making sure every detail is just right. He’s spent hours on the phone with suppliers, booking magicians, dancers, and more to create a truly memorable experience. Next week, the team will return to Plaisterers’ Hall for the all-important food and wine tasting to finalise the menu.

This year, we’re proud to support Support Dogs as our Charity of the Year — an organisation that trains assistance dogs for children with autism and adults with epilepsy or physical disabilities. Their life-changing work has a profound impact, and we’re delighted to help raise awareness and funds through the Market People Awards. A special thank you to Rebecca Haggerty and Mike Walsh from Allied World for introducing us to this incredible cause.
