The Insurance Endurance: The London Market Takes to the Track
Enter your team for a unique day of competition, networking and fun - while supporting Team BRIT’s pioneering mission to create greater equality in motorsport.
On Tuesday 29 September 2026, professionals from across the Lloyd’s and London Insurance Market will swap the office for the racetrack as The Insurance Endurance returns to Daytona Sandown Park in Esher, Surrey.
Open to all Market firms and practitioners, this special activity day will bring together brokers, carriers, MGAs, advisers, suppliers and other insurance professionals for an exciting combination of teamwork, friendly rivalry and relaxed Market networking.
Teams can include up to six drivers, and firms are welcome to enter more than one team. No previous karting experience is required: the event is designed to be inclusive and enjoyable for participants of every age, role, seniority and level of driving ability.
The question is: who will be crowned the winning London Market team for 2026?
A social day away from the office
The Insurance Endurance is not intended to be serious motorsport. It is a fun, inclusive team experience and an opportunity to bring colleagues together away from the pressures of the working environment.
Firms could enter a departmental team, create a cross-functional squad or bring senior leaders and rising talent together. Client, project and relationship teams are equally welcome. If you're in a small team, buddy up with others in the firm or the wider Market to make a team. Speak to suppliers and partners who might want to join you and be part of this exciting experience.
The day provides an excellent opportunity to:
- Reward and energise colleagues before the peak renewal period
- Build stronger relationships across teams and departments
- Meet professionals from other Market firms
- Enjoy some healthy inter-firm competition
- Strengthen team morale in an informal setting
- Support greater diversity and inclusion in competitive sport
Previous participants have included teams from Howden, Guy Carpenter, Aon, Lockton, Brit Insurance, Amwins and Risk Ledger, alongside representatives from other brokers, underwriters, MGAs and Market suppliers.
The event has been running for several years and has become a highlight in the calendar for many of those who take part.
What happens on the day?
Participants will arrive at 10.30am for registration, a welcome and a full safety briefing.
Teams will then move through:
- Practice and familiarisation
- Qualifying
- A three-hour team endurance relay
- Lunch and informal networking
- The trophy presentation
All required safety equipment will be provided, together with lunch and soft drinks.
There are places for a maximum of 30 teams, with up to six drivers in each team. The cost is £2,750 plus VAT per team.
Racing for equality
The event is organised by Team BRIT, with LMF proud to serve as the headline supporter.
Team BRIT is a pioneering competitive racing team whose drivers all have disabilities. Its mission is to create greater equality in motorsport and demonstrate that disability should not prevent talented and determined people from competing at the highest level.
The team has developed innovative adaptive technology that enables disabled and able-bodied drivers to compete on equal terms. Its long-term ambition is to become the first all-disabled team to compete in the world-famous 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Funds raised through The Insurance Endurance will help Team BRIT:
- Support disabled drivers competing at the highest possible level
- Develop pioneering adaptive racing technology
- Challenge perceptions surrounding disability
- Progress towards its ambition of competing at Le Mans
By entering a team, Market firms will not only give colleagues a memorable and morale-boosting day; they will also be supporting a powerful mission to advance inclusion and equality within competitive sport.
Bringing the Market together
For more than a decade, LMF has brought thousands of London Market professionals together to learn, network and collaborate.
We also believe that a strong professional community should create opportunities for people to connect socially, enjoy shared experiences and support worthwhile causes beyond the insurance industry. During that time, LMF and its community have helped to raise more than £65,000 for charitable causes.
The Insurance Endurance captures that spirit perfectly: a day of fun, teamwork and friendly competition that brings the Market together while helping Team BRIT continue its inspirational work.
