The Future of Capital at Lloyd’s – 15th April 2026

The London Market came together at the Elizabeth Conference Centre The Future of Capital at Lloyd’s, hosted by London Market Forums in partnership with Aon. With a full room of senior leaders and demand for attendance exceeding availability, the session demonstrated how important capital and investment strategies have become to the growth and sustainability of the London Market.

Discussions focused on a Market at a important moment—underpinned by strong underwriting performance, continued investor interest and evolving capital structures. A clear theme throughout was the importance of flexibility and efficiency, with diverse capital sources continuing to be drawn to Lloyd’s of London for its ability to offer globally diversified, specialty risk.

There was a strong sense that the Market is now better equipped to manage cycles, with improved data, governance and discipline supporting more informed decision-making. Alongside this, the shift towards longer-term, trusted partnerships between managing agents and capital providers stood out as a key driver of sustainable performance.

One message was clear: while the market continues to evolve, capital will play a defining role in shaping the future of Lloyd’s. Commentators at the event and attendees showed positivity about the growth potential and the attractiveness of the London Market for external investors.

As always with LMF community events, the conversation continued beyond the main conference room, with valuable networking and knowledge sharing over drinks.
