Cyber Security Breakfast

About

Cyber security is at the top of risk register for most organisations, but successful defence is determined by more than just the strength of your firewalls. Board level engagement is vital.

Join us on for this special cyber security breakfast at the Duck & Waffle restaurant, in the UK’s highest private dining space.

The days when responsibility for cyber security resided solely with the IT function are, for most companies, gone. There is increasing evidence of successful risk mitigation strategies within businesses where responsibility for cyber security resides at the highest possible level.

The question is, how engaged is your Board in the cyber security decision making process? During our special breakfast roundtable event, you’ll hear from recognised Counter Terrorism and Government Adviser, Malcolm Taylor, Head of Cyber Security at G3. After you’ve enjoyed a delicious full English Breakfast from Duck & Waffle’s Award Winning chefs, there’ll be the opportunity to openly debate, with your fellow London Market colleagues, the whole topic of cyber security and senior management engagement, as well as the wider topic of risk management. Limited places available - apply today for your free place. Only open to those working for insurers, brokers, Lloyd’s and other insurance trade bodies.

A QUESTION OF RISK; CYBER SECURITY AND THE TECHNOLOGY MYTH

“The great enemy of truth is very often not the lie--deliberate, contrived and dishonest--but the myth--persistent, persuasive and unrealistic.”
John F Kennedy

The great myth of cyber security is that the solution to the problem can be found with technology; technology can be a part of the solution but, left unchallenged, can be a part of the problem. Leadership is where good cyber security starts, and ends.
